Gazetteer Research Overview

My research to improve and explain the completeness and accuracy associated with gazetteers.

So what, this has already been done many times? Good point. But existing gazetteers....

  • Are not complete

    • The features they contain are low resolution
    • They contain sparse features
  • Are not accurate

    • Information about the names, types and footprints are not accurate
    • The accuracy of each axis is unknown
  • Are too static

    • Information is not updated in real-time
